Cool. What's the better value you'd suggest for $33? I can't wait to hear your answer.

This sounds a bit snarky

Of course it's snarky, he's bent because someone soured his "deal" by telling the truth and helping others know what they're buying.

It's a fair question that I already know the answer to. If people want to stop by just to throw shade, let's see what they can offer that's better.

I'm not bent at all. Just trying to help people save money. I trust that they can do their own research and make an informed decision.

Bro, just spend an extra $30 for a quality PSU. You're never going to need a "deal" like this to fix an old PC that's worth less than a new *quality* PSU.

/s

Edit: Thanks OP. This is perfect for older computers.

It's a good sale price. It isn't the highest tier. These are both correct statements, and not at all contradictory

It's a name brand with Japanese main caps and several protection circuits, with a 5 year warranty. Likely on par with what a lot of prebuilts come with. If I were building a midrange gaming setup I'd be all over this one. But to each his own.

Just sold out. Woot sales stats indicate a bunch sold since this was posted. I get that this is perfect for some but substandard for others.

Wait a sec...this same PSU is $28.50 more on Amazon, pretty close to the $30 more you said I should spend to get decent quality. I'll just buy it there and I'm sure it will be better quality, even though it's identical. Thanks for the tip.

And all the negative red hats are ruining the SD mojo

I find that a lot of commenters confuse the value that the deal offers with the rating of the product itself, which are 2 totally different things.

I totally agree on the mojo thing. So much negativity around finding the best deals on this or that.

I'm beginning to think that list is like if you asked videophools to rank blu ray players, which is a completely digital and pixel-perfect format.

The way people talk, you'd think they wouldn't be happy with a 99 cent Rolls Royce unless it had a moonroof and lifetime free service. I tend to stick with price versus typical market price for the same. If it's obviously much less than the next best price on anything similar, it's a deal worth posting. People arguing the merits of the item itself are missing the point. There are plenty of reviews posted online for pretty much anything you want to consider buying. Slamming an item in the comments is, at best, in very poor taste.

Probably nothing. The last thing I would want to cheap out on in a build would be the PSU.
