8gb ram, 128gb ssd, 5th gen intel i5.

In 2025, this is ewaste. If you could upgrade the ram and SSD in these, you MIGHT have been able to repurpose it (linux machine, ultra-light duty single-tasker, etc). But nope. It's a machine that's severely overpriced when you can get refurb M1 machines for $400-500, which are light-years better than this antiquated piece of scrap.

This laptop was sold new in stores until July 2019, so (possibly) not even 6 years old yet. 8gb ram was the standard all the way up until 2024.

this i5 was introduced in 2014. astonished that apple uses 2014 i5 in a 2019 laptop.
