Ok guys who or what vendor price matches game stop?? I checked w/ BBY and don't Acknowledge GS.

Edit: Answer: NONE. Tried Walmart and Target. Their policy is transparent.

It's a really enjoyable rpg. I played the original when I was a kid. Would have bought it but a buddy let me borrow it.

The remake is a lot prettier obviously. It really doesn't have too much added from the original. Some of the combat mechanics make it a bit more friendlier. Like being able to swap out party members during battle, even downed ones

Best Buy ended up price matching with amazon but I am not sure where the rep saw $19.99 on amazon but did so anyway after denying the gamestop price match because they're not a competitor they price match. I had a $5 reward certificate. $16.08 with free shipping, YMMV.

Nobody price match GS. Walmart doesn't either. Their policy is 100% transparent.

Darn, Best Buy wouldn't price match with Gamestop. I have an expiring $10 certificate to use there. And Gamestop won't let me check out. Can't enter in my email, even though I'm logged into my account, and GooglePay won't work.

We were gutting games for display back in the 80s when I worked for Electronics Boutique, which merged with GameStop.

I'm actually fine with this. I buy games and take years to play them. If I buy a game for 60$ and don't get to it for 2 years, then find out it's 20$ now, I'm going to be annoyed and end up buying less games. With Nintendo I know if I buy it day 1, I don't have to worry about the price going down and my purchase being devalued.
If you buy a game for $60 and don't play it for two years, then that's on you, don't get annoyed for more people getting to play it later on for cheaper lol

They screwed me on this last year. Bought Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition (which is supposed to include the Phantom Liberty DLC). The "new" copy I bought was already open. I thought it was no big deal because it was a complete edition with the DLC included on the disc. Turns out, there's a code for the DLC on an insert which I didn't get. By the time I got around to playing the game a month later, it was past the return window and they wouldn't do anything for me.

Honestly even selling an opened game as "new" should be illegal - at best opened games should be advertised as LNIB. Not my first bad experience with Gamestop, but it will be my last. I will never give this company another dime.

I bought a car and never drove it. I found out two years later I could have bought it for way less. I am never buying a car again!
