WTF would anyone encourage or teach this behavior?
I saw a short explaining how cats like to mimic their owner's behavior. So, if you're on laptop working, it too wants to type or sit on a laptop. So, having this product next to your laptop can help cat owners from being disrupted by their cat during work.

Maybe people downvoting you don't have particularly bright or mischievous cats? One of my cats is a lovable furball but not the brightest grain of sand in the shed (yes, I'm mixing metaphors on purpose). He'd use this and not learn any 'bad' behavior.
I have another cat who would absolutely learn 'bad' behavior from this: "Oh, it's okay to scratch the laptop and attack the computer mouse." I'd be looking at destroyed laptops and mice.
If I just had my one furball, this would be great, but with my hellion around, there's no chance I'll buy this. It looks like a fun product for some people/cats.

Terrible terrible idea. Last thing you want is your cat thinking scratching a laptop is normal, allowed behavior. Even if this one is fake, what's to stop your cat from doing the same to your actual laptop as they will think it is the same? You've been warned, and so you can't blame the product for your derpness if you buy it and your cat ucks up your laptop.

So, when I poop in her litter box, I'm emulating her? Damn, now you tell me.
