So confident yet so wrong.
This is propane... dont know why people are talking about it being natural. Its absolutely propane (I bought this last time was on sale at woot). 10/10 loving mine. Got a silicone over off amazon and is amazing to just wipe up and throw on and go inside. I store mine in the garage, though. Also, bought a big box at home depot to store all my utensils and such in on the shelf. I fold up the cover, toss on recycling can, take the box of tools and set on top of the silicone cover on recycling can and grab what I need. Finish cooking, clean, put box back, put cover on, clean surfaces and am done in 5 minutes. I sit in garage drinking a beer or whiskey while food cooks and family is inside - like a little man cave/me time.
I'd say a hard cover is required for storage. With only nylon cover it gets moisture and turns into a rusted top in no time. I use both the hard cover and nylon on top and I live in warm temperate weather

Usually you can convert propane to natural gas with a minor part that usually costs a few bucks, in this case can you covert this natural gas supply to propane by chance?

I got a propane one at this price last time it came up and I am living it. It's been fantastic making tasty meals for my big family, and saving me lots of money on burgers at home instead of eating out. Recommended. I know you can get a natural gas adapter for it, thus one seems like it's already got that on it according to what others are saying, so I'll bet it can be changed either way.

This has the hose setup to use propane gas.
You can buy the conversion kit to run on natural gas.

I'm so confused by this orange box - I need a blackstone with natural gas. When I look at this model on Amazon it says propane.

Anyone have recommendations for a hard cover?

A hard cover is worthless. The label states that it should not be used when the griddle is on. You can buy food domes on Amazon that cover food for heating or steaming.
Ps. I rarely use my hard cover outside of storage purposes
