I remember I didn't like this and I can't remember why. I think it was because it had the smallest portion of noodles I ever seen in one of these cups

It's just a visual illusion. Normal cup noodles the noodles are all on the top with a huge empty void on the bottom half. This cup is meant to be stir-fry not a soup so you use less water and they put the noodles on the bottom of the cup so it gets the water.

As for the taste itself, I remember it having some sort of aftertaste that I didn't like.

Korean bbq might be the best flavor of these noods... but if you want the pay double the price, the rice with nood variants are even better... love the yellow curry. Of course, they're all salt bombs though.
