I know and it's a pretty lame thing to do and makes me want to engage less now that I know Slickdeals employs bots to drive engagement. I literally wrote a comment to a non existing, non caring person..anyway you cut it, it does drive engagement, but I helped no one make a decision.

They ask it on many deals they post. My guess is it's to drive engagement, like how when someone posts a meme with a deliberate misspelling so everyone will go in and point out the misspelled wrod.
