Shows $46 for me for 2pk unless the link always takes you to the 2pk and you meant to reference the 1 unit price difference. I think solar lights in this price range are usually NiMh so lion should be brighter? Tempted to try if they don't fade after a year..

had similar unit from a 15$ range home depot deal that I cant find on the site now. was very similar but not identical westinghouse unit, lithium ion batteries. Comments for that one told folks to seal it with glue etc or expect it not to last outdoors exposed. Mine took couple modest rains in 2-3 weeks only, so far working. I did some light insulating before putting it up and needed to solder longer cord than the 6-8 feet it comes with.

Seal what, the battery compartment or the light and sensor in general ?

I got two. They're the brightest $15 solar lights i've ever seen for a flood light of this type. I bought 10 more, good thing coupon still works.

Seal plastic boxes that are in two halves connected with a bunch of screws, and not tight tolerances at the joins, no visible rubber gaskets to make it waterproof.
There was not a dedicated battery compartment like a tv remote on mine.
The back of the light subunit is not exactly waterproof, that appeared to be the weakest link and home depot reviews had some issues outside. The solar panel unit is not sealed either, that one is at least not facing down in a way the crevices would collect water.

This has a battery compartment, I took the batteries out to charge it on my charger to get it started instead of waiting for 3 days of sunlight. Battery cover has a gasket. I'll likely caulk the edge of the sensor and the edges of the solar panel where the glass meets the plastic the glass surface as there is a lip and it would hold water. I might check if the housing has a gasket between the two halves.

great, That should extend the expected life if you covered all reasonable non-sealed joins especially on main unit that has a bit of electronics and the batteries.
I got one of these it has not arrived yet. Looks like "westinghouse" supllier added a gasket from the previous edition, a lot of the other plastic looks same.
Did you happen to read if they were lithium ion or lifepo4? Previous gen was lithium ion. Many harbor freight garden light suppliers upgraded last year.

Mine arrived, did not get a chance to mount it and try for real life performance yet. My batteries are made on 2021 April.
Model number pulled up this one people were happy with.

I remember seeing the 18650 batteries on previous one it must have had a battery lid also. This has less suspicious plastic joints overall. I will probably seal the plastic join forming the the motion sensor's box. I see no sign of aluminum but it is generally slightly more polished.

Hi, can you post a picture of the one that you bought? The lights of Westinghouse ones are a little curved, whereas these ones look square. Thanks.
