rebranded, not same grade
Kirkland Signature batteries are manufactured by Duracell and are leakers just like Duracell. Haven't had an Energizer leak yet.

I don't remember the price of Kirkland off the top of my head but I believe they're cheaper per battery and they're most likely rebranded Energizers. Just in case anyone is wondering how they compare price-wise.

Kirkland is 15.99 for 48 or 19.99 for 40 Duracell

The 'regular' price for 24 is the regular price for the identical product at my warehouse store for 32. Good deal but cancel the S&S or you will overpay on the next shipment.

Agree w/ this. Kirkland batteries are one Kirkland product that I've not been satisfied with, quality is not there.

The last time Costco 'confirmed' Kirklands were rebranded Duracells was back when the Kirkland batteries were Duracell gold. Now they're Energizer silver. There hasn't been an update from Costco since the color change but I feel pretty confident it's not a coincidence and that Kirkland changed suppliers. I also haven't had the leaking issues the batteries were notorious for since the color change which could be another indication that they're rebranded Energizer.

That said Energizer Max are good batteries though. I'm not discouraging anyone from getting this deal as it's almost the same price and you don't need a membership. I just find myself often wondering what the equivalent at costco pricewise is so I thought I would chime in.

Out of all the batteries I have bought in the past these are the only ones ending up leaking. Not sure if was just bad luck or what but I'm a little hesitant now.

They were 9.77 for me. I'll give them a try. Rite Aid ones have leaked twice for me. And all the Duracells as well.

Went down the battery test rabbit hole once and discovered that these are made in Singapore, USA, and China and performed in that order with the Chinese ones being the worst.
