Averaging about 50-60kWh a month, should get better as ground water temp increases this summer.
Utilities in MD gave me $1600 back so this was basically free.
I have an aging water heater that has solar panel integration that has worked great for 15 years. I have to reroof soon, so I wonder if I should switch to this model or just keep the panel I have and find a like replacement for the same heater I have.
And to comment on what someone said, if energy prices are going up, then surely it just means you'll start seeing an ROI sooner.
I've seen some calculations as 1/4-1/3 of your energy bill is the water heater. My family likes it hot, so in my own case, basic math seems right. And looking at just the estimated usage (that would be lower than my own) still shows a 4879kw yearly and this one is saying 1224kw a year. Which is a hell of a difference and would be $400~ a year.

Basic water heaters be like $500 and ran forever. Now, these hybrids cost 3x-4x last for nothing. But clowns believe these are the best
1.) If you live in the south and have your water heater in the garage, these are great if the slight buzzing noise won't bother you out there.
2.) If you're up north, like me, and you have this in your basement, it does sort of work against your furnace. No idea how much.... But, something to consider, might not give you all the cost savings you want.
I primarily hear my house by wood burning stove, so it really doesn't bother me. But, I didn't necessarily see any electricity savings. I don't mind the dehumidification in the basement though. To each your own, just make informed decisions.
