You only get 50% grass seed, the rest is basically soil. Not worth the money. Go to your local garden store and buy the grass seed you want. It will be a bit more expensive but you will get almost 99% grass seed.

That's Yankee grass seed. It'll burn up in the South during the hotter days of summer.

Well it says "For Northern Lawns" and shows a map that excludes quite a bit of SoCal.

Weed and feed you will be OK, but if you applied a pre emergent/crabgrass preventer, your seed won't germinate. Weed and feed stops weeds after they are growing, a pre emergent prevents seeds from germinating, weed and grass seeds included.

Johnathan Green is good but you're still better off looking at the NTEP results for your area and buying a mix of cultivars that perform well from somewhere like United seeds or twin city.

Go to your local Coastal, Wilco, or any other farm and ranch store and buy a bag of 100% grass seed for like 40 bucks
