This is the first book in a series, although not identified as such. If you read it, you will understand.

BTW, I liked it.

The Amazon app does not support purchasing of kindle content, so give it try from the website instead, good luck!

Worked fine from the website. Most Stephenson books are great. I'm wondering when the SevenEves movie is coming out.

I would much rather do this. Does it deliver easily to a Kindle from bookshop.org? I haven't purchased from them before.

Also interested. I've even go to the trouble of using Calibre app to load it to my Kindle if that was possible.

Do you have first hand knowledge of this?

"The most important thing to know is that there's (currently) no way to read Bookshop.org-bought ebooks on your Kindle device."

https://www.howtogeek.com/i-tried...iller-yet/

This is what I've read on the issue. Are you saying there's a way to download the books from bookshop.org in epub format?

sadly, they don't have most of heir books in drm-free, so polostan has to be read through their APP... which I found out AFTER purchasing. sigh.

There used to be add-ins for calibre to take care of DRM.

Still need the book file local for that to work, no? Not sure the apps are actually downloading anything long term... And you'd still need the phone hooked up to a computer to rip the books out. I might play around with it, but this is way more of a pain than doing the same drm-cracking from a kindle version.

Right, you'd need to be able to download it to a computer. I recall this working with epub books available to download through adobe digital editions. I just read the FAQs at bookshop.org. Looks like it's pretty locked down except for already DRM-free titles, thankfully you can filter by DRM-free if you're just browsing.
I really haven't thought much about calibre since amazon allowed libraries to offer kindle versions several years ago.

I listened to the bookshop CEO on the Vergecast Podcast say they now support ebooks. Should be as simple as purchasing via Bookshop, then going to the Send to Kindle website (Amazon run) and uploading the epub. It'll convert and send and appear on your kindle within a couple minutes if it's like any other epub I've used!
