This is best-price-ever territory for the 12" fry pan w/ lid [homeandcooksales.com], which should be a workhorse pan in most kitchens. It's listed as a clearance item, so inventory is probably limited.

The 3 quart steamer insert [homeandcooksales.com] with handle is also an absolute steal at $25.46 after coupon. If you have a 3- or 4-quart saucepan, or a 2-quart saucier, and you don't have a steamer insert, then this is the time to get one.

As always, if you have questions about this sale, or about the differences between the All-Clad products, check out the sticky All-Clad Pots & Pans Advice thread over on the Product forums. Update suggestions welcome.
At the end of the day, it's a tool and it'll get scratched anyway

Even though the stainless steel - aluminum clad called "bonded" the interface will delaminate over time as stainless steel and aluminum have a large coefficient of thermal expansion mismatch. Copper is a different story, stainless steel and copper have identical coefficient of thermal expansion (17-18) thus they expand at the same rate under heat, in that way there is no stress at the bonding interface.

I've gotten all my pots and pans from these sales. These things last forever and when used and maintained properly still look great!

What exactly does "second quality" mean? Are we talking about minor issues like scratches or dents, or something more serious such as deformation or delamination?

I also noticed that some pans are listed as both second quality and packaging damage. In those cases, is it worth paying the extra $10 for the packaging damage option?

I've ordered 3 items from here, two second quality and one with packaging damage. The one with packaging damage looked brand new. The other two second quality had minor defects that were cosmetic. One was a skillet that had minor scratch marks on the handle. The other was a polished saute pan that had a 2"x1/2" part of the side of that pan that was brushed. Basically a scuff mark.

gdamnit the 10.5" pan is exactly $59.99 and isn't eligibile for the free shipping code. That's the only thing I actually needed.

i was just looking at that right now. then i found this, which the code works on. comes out to $67.96 so paying like $7.97 for the lid. better than paying $9.95 for shipping and not getting a lid haha. contemplating if i should buy too

Just got my 12" fry pan. The only scratch I can find is on the bottom and is about the size of an eyebrow hair. Can only see it if you squint. I've seen worse scratches on things bought brand new honestly.

Same applies to the Mother of All Pans I got yesterday. Four days from ordering to arrival, including a weekend. Couldn't be happier.

There's actually a 10.5" lid for $13 that would fit the 10.5" pan, but ofc it's effin OOS. I saw that 10" pan/lid combo, but I want that extra 0.5" cause ... I'm a size queen. Also, glass lid is way better than the solid steel lid (for me.)

I must have bad luck, but I got a pan that was gouged at the rim (no big deal) and a little warped (cooks unevenly).

"Mother of all pans" is certainly an interesting marketing term. I guess it's trying to compete with the Always Pan and other crap like that. From my perspective it appears to just be the 6qt Deep Saute Pan without the long handle. Maybe that helps it better sit on the stovetop without knocking into other pans, IDK.

I do have the deep saute pan, though, and it's definitely a workhorse in my kitchen.
