The light from Lowe's are not the same, no white light, lower brightness, and doesn't include the brackets.

I've got a gable roof with no rake overhangs... Are these easy to string along rakes or is it not meant to be hung there? I guess I don't exactly understand how they are hung or if there are non lit extensions to run past non overhang areas.

Also saw the cord color is black, I've got white soffits. Can anybody with these speak to it being an eye sore vs a white cord? I saw white cord was only available via open box and is $20 more.
