I can only assume they are b stock after the terrible Charvel I got from Adorama.

They are either B stock or returned. I received guitars in those conditions from Adorama each single time during their "sales". Check carefully and it's your call either to return or ask for a discount after receiving. There is no way those can be brand new. I only had luck getting real brand new stuff listed as "open box" from PAS. It's the other way around for Adorama: you paid for new but got returned/b-stock.
