I'll thumbs up to offset the thumbs down even though I can't take advantage of this offer. 10% is 10%, especially if you were going to stay anyways. Unfortunately I already booked for June and prices went up way more than 10% so I can't cancel and rebook.

I am at an intercontinental hotel right now. I just added the Chase offer. I will check out tomorrow and use the chase credit card having the chase offer. Thanks.

In the past I have called Marriott hotels directly and asked them to charge my card in advance up to the limit ($620 here) and they have done it.
