Oh man .... This brings a ton of memory but unfortunately this series peaked on PS1. Other farming games have done better job! I still remember the first one!!!

I agree. The N64 version and Back to Nature will keep its place in my heart, but Stardew Valley is the true successor for me and I've clocked a few hundred hours on my Switch in total.

It doesn't really run them via emulation in any meaningful sense of the word. How it runs them specifically isn't really something you need to know if you're not a programmer, but calling it emulation invites a bunch of false (negative) expectations.

And of course this should run on Switch 2.

Peaked on PS1? Have you just not been playing any Story of Seasons games or what?

This is by a different dev, and is interesting in its own right. It's an open world farming game with some Breath of the Wild like elements of all things.
