There's still some 9950x used like new for 450 dollars on amazon... if you rather trade cores and multithread power for pure game performance it's a good deal.

Avoid getting an AsRock board with these, for now .. many reports of burned CPUs and sockets. ASRock says debris is the cause but this is happening even on brand new ASRock motherboards.

I wouldn't recommend used PC components. I did this with CPU, motherboard, GPU, and all of them failed prematurely.
