Steel(?) made with plastic lol, made in China. Tonka sold out years ago imo and is no where near the quality it used to be when many of us were kids.

What has that got to do with the fact that it is cheap quality, made with plastic parts, made in China junk imo? That you don't want to keep it for 30 years is not really relevant. Does not change the lack of quality imo. You get what you pay for generally. They are trying to pass this off as similar to the products of many years past by referring to it as "Steel Classics", which it clearly is not.

I don't disagree however as you stated in another post, most people don't save these toys. Steel versions would cost a lot more and most kids play with them for a short time and then move on. I think the majority of these are disposed of in some way after just a few years so might as well make them cheaper. If this were steel it would be much more expensive.

How are they going to call this 'Tonka Steel Classics' when the dozer has a plastic blade? 😂

I used to love my all metal Tonka toys as a kid... these 'Tonka Steel Classics' aren't a throwback to the good ol' days of solid built/manufactured toys.
