Let the market decide. If PBS is something people want, then they will pay for it like Netflix. Why should government give financial aid to one network over others?
You have for profit journalism right now, with many outlets owned outright by oligarchs, obviously pushing the agenda of billionaires. You like what you see in the media landscape? Is this system producing a lot of quality, objective journalism? There's a need for public broadcasting more than ever. Sounds like some billionaire has convinced you that PBS is partisan. Journalism is obviously a public good.

What does PBS provide that can't be achieved in the private sector? Why does one network get public funds, but not the others - who makes that decision? If PBS is such a valued network, then people will pay to receive it.
Repeating yourself doesn't address any of my questions. You seem to think the private sector and its pursuit of profit above all else produces great journalism. So which private sector media exactly is doing that today?
Of course, all the private sector has done is destroy local papers, produce yelling tv shows, push partisan propaganda and seriously dumb down the American public. Not everything is supposed to, or able to, produce a profit. But, it can absolutely still have value. It's called a public good. What PBS provides that others clearly can't is truly objective, quality journalism.
Of course, it's billionaires and lying politicians that understandably hate true journalism and are out to destroy it. And, they've been remarkably successful. Please don't help them.
