Guess what, my subscription expired in early May. I, too, have been looking for a renewal offer. However, I've since gone back to PersonalCapital (Empower).com, and have discovered that my online accounts update instantaneously, unlike the clunky Quicken interface. Only one of my accounts at a credit union cannot be tracked online, but in fact, Quicken has been unable to do so as well. Hence there no longer is an advantage to using Quicken for Windows, well maybe a big one, as Quicken stores your financial information in encrypted form on your personal storage space -- unless you use the mobile app -- while Personal Capital stores it in the cloud. I would have to see a great Quicken license renewal offer of $30 or less to reconsider joining Quicken at this point. And don't forget, if you are away from Quicken too long, when you renew your subscription, the application will not be able to download all of your missing transactions from the past, and so you will be entering those by hand, or creating .qif files to import your missing transactions. YEAH MAYBE I'VE BEEN LIBERATED FROM QUICKEN, AS I AM A LONG TIME QUICKEN USER FROM THE WINDOWS 95 DAYS. 😀

What you describe is not a replacement for Quicken at all it is just a wealth and spending aggregator app that can not do the things that Quicken does. You switched for true software to a web app and that always favors the corporations and people looking to get your money and or information for financial gain. You now have a completely different, very basic and limited ability web app.

Everybody gives those things away like candy and will later figure out way to charge you. Or they just change the service terms, begin charging you or may may just go away. You are basically taking the risk people did with their photos by using Google photos with your finances and they can change the terms of the service anytime they like, start changing or take away features or shut it down and then you will be left in a lurch with none of your personal data local to you. Quicken and my Fidelity brokerage offer those services and stayed away for the above reasons.

I think you let your anger get the best of you. You jumped from the frying pan to the fire. You would have been better paying the price for the much more powerful true software that keeps your data local if you really need its features.

I imagine you will react with anger to my advice but believe me I am a cheapskate, no fan of the new model and am not fanboy of any company, product or service. I purely look for value gained and I have seen no web apps that give me that value even if they are free.

You may want to reconsider if you were tracking you finances at the transaction level as you really no longer have that ability. You are just giving you credentials to a third party that totals up your account balances and let you do very limited categorization. They have no interest in offering you more unless they plan or charging.
