Simple answer, yes. I see plenty of salespeople and mid-level managers wearing these hybrid shoes (dress upper, large white rubber sole), especially if you travel a lot since they are comfortable. There are some variations, I recently picked up the Cole Haan sneaker version of this.
Reddit r/mensfashion doesn't like them because they deem them too middle of the road i.e. not doing either function of dress shoe nor tennis shoe well. This is a good price for what they are.

I got these and actually returned back to them. Quality is cheap AF. That's why it's only $50. Clark's quality was much better.
I would also consider myself middle management, and I had the same idea of going business casual with these. But instead they made me look like I was a newly grad and trying to "look" professional. So yeah.. Not for me.

Yeah just request return online and they will send you a return label. But really not worth it. IMO

I got these last week, and they had free shipping for rewards members. I've had similar shoes from Cole Haan, but these are some of the most comfortable that I have worn.

Was wondering the same thing and I'm gonna pass. It's dicey — that sole's heel looks very disproportionate and isn't particularly professional looking (or nice looking) to me.

This is an important observation. The comments in previous deals on the shoe have indicated the same thing. It seems the design of the heel is a dealbreaker for many.

I tend to find that a lot of the shoes that Cole Haan sells through other vendors often seem to look/feel like cheaper quality. Better off finding shoes through them directly.

I love some of their shoes, though will admit that they have a good few that are pretty ugly too.

It's so fugly that it would be hard to imagine people taking you seriously, especially in a business environment!
