Unfortunately, there may be beginners who are considering a set like this to help get into a great hobby, but are turned away because of opinions like this one. Then they end up spending more money on the sport, and get frustrated.
Be classy SlickDeal peeps.

I'm just curious what made you think it's a garage set? Nothing against on your comment. just want to know.
Only thing that I didn't like was, it didn't come with a cover.
Im a beginner and both the Stix and Callaway Edge I have is about the same (at least for me lol)

I have this and Callaway Edge. I brought Stix Play version for around $600 at their website 2 years ago and I think it's pretty good. For beginners, I think it's a money saver.

Posts like this should not hold much weight for sway. This person could have tested hundreds of sets of clubs and be an expert fitter, but without any kid of reasoning behind the opinion, it just sounds slanderous and arrogant.

Get a cheap set, get a few lessons, go out to the range and hit some balls. The equipment specs become important later on, but beginner sets are pretty much the same and focus on forgiveness. That makes costs a much bigger factor because what you save you can use on other things like lessons and buying balls that you will likely lose.
In the end, it's a great game to learn and a nice journey to embark on. Good luck folks.

The big difference between this and a set like Callaway Edge is that when you graduate to a better set of clubs you're going to have to sell the stix set for pennies on the dollar where at least Callaway you'll be able to sell it to another newbie for 50% of what you bought it for. Also look up people's experiences with warranties for stix clubs. Better hope you never have an issue with their clubs.
Additionally, the putter in Callaway Edge is way better than stix and its the most important club in the bag.
Hogan has a couple package sets cheaper than this, so that might be an option...
Or just budget $500 for a previous year iron set from a mainstream brand (Callaway, Taylormade, Wilson, Titlelist, etc)...
