Interesting.

But poor value compared to the 75 inch
which was $399 last BF
and prob again this BF

not gonna pay double for just 10 more inches.

Got 5 - 75" in various locations.
Some are 3+ years old, going strong.

1 43" went bad after 2y.
That is the only one so far.

Protip:
Add a usb flash drive 64gb or larger, and format as external, and get DVR style rewind on the channel currently viewed.
I have a 64gb and I can rewind up to 90 minutes, so I can eat, shower, etc. and come back and skip the commercials.

I also installed Zoom meetings apk and connected my logitech usb web cam and have 75" zoom meetings on the Toshiba FireTV.
Family loves this.

You're using 2024 Black Friday prices on no-name TV's to compare this deal??? You watch the news, right? You realize we're in the beginnings of a trade war and Trump just threatened another 50% "reciprocal" tariff on China (on top of the 10% existing + 35% "liberation day" + another 25% for using Venezuelan oil)? I can't predict the future, but I think somebody in the market for an 80 in TV would be crazy to just pass this deal up hoping for something cheaper in November.

Anywho, back on planet Earth - an 85 inch 4k TV with free shipping for $700 seems like a good deal to me. One last note, extra DIAGONAL inches on a TV screen are like extra inches on a pizza — the area increases significantly with every inch. An 85 in TV (3,087 sq in) has over 22% more viewing area than a 75 in TV (2,403 sq in) for just 10 inches in additional size.

...not gonna pay double for just 10 more inches...

An 85 inch TV is 28.45% larger than a 75 inch

I'm a big fan of the Toshiba C350 series. It has great viewing angles, accurate color, and while not as bright as a Mini-LED pretty uniform backlighting and bright enough. It's just an excellent TV for the money.

Have you seen any open box or lightly used ones from Best Buy? Curious.

Yes, made by Hisense, and Toshiba printed on it.

Just like most of the other Japanese brands.
Sony Bravia owned by Hai Hon, and made in Mexico.

Yes, but if I'm not mistaken, most of Hisense's other TVs are VA panels. The C350 series are IPS giving it better viewing angles. It also just has a better picture compared to my two other Hisense brand TVs (lower end models).

But my viewing distance is 12', so 75" might be too small
