J7+ is actually a great vacuum for the price. Cleans so but very well and rarely gets stuck. I have three large dogs and have enjoyed having it.

Agreed --- the pet waste avoidance is a huge plus, which many of the others that use Lidar aren't good at. All it takes is for one Bob or Roborock to run over some sh@t and distribute it around the house before you get into something that won't.

this has been 199 now for 2 weeks, got one back then, also J9+ is 349. They don't tell you there is a 90 day factory warranty from irobot with full tech support , your going to need it. then the 2 year lousy allstate extended warr.

If you mark up something by 20%, and then discount it 20%, you actually save 4%.

I bought a j7 about a month ago at this price. It's a decent robot vacuum for $200. Maps the house and gets to work. I'm happy with it. I like that I can quadrant off parts of my home and have it do half and half. I have cats and they shed quite a bit and was tired of vacuuming weekly. This took care of it.

This model is junk in my opinion. It kept giving me errors and customer service wasn't really helpful in figuring out the cause. I ended up returning it for the J8 enhanced and the suction power as well as connectivity seems to be better so far.

Vacuum Wars gave it a decent rating [youtube.com]. The main gripes are that the mopping feature makes the vacuum's dirt reservoir sticky and somewhat difficult to clean due to some moisture mixing with the dirt. Additionally, the auto-mapping designates carpets as their own area or room to ensure rugs are not mopped.

$199 seems a bit high for a used vacuum, in my opinion. If I could get it at $150 shipped, I would bite. In fact, when I find some free time, perhaps I can find a way to get that $150 price through various cashback and coupon shenanigans. I'm pretty sure that $170 after cashback is doable if you make an effort.

Overall, I consider robot vacuums disposable products that last only a few years due to their high failure rate, so I try to spend no more than $150. I haven't had one last more than two years—the wheel motors always die on me. Still, this deal is pretty tempting, as it has the bells and whistles I want at a reasonable price.

The J7+ is old but mine still works great (bought it refurbished actually) and I find the software much more pleasant and reliable than the complex jumbles of apps that Roborock and Ecovacs provide.

the j7+ is a solid unit, the object detection is very good with the latest firmware. vacuum dock is very good as well.

Love my J7+. Does a great job and replacement parts are dirt cheap on Amazon. $199 is a bargain.
