Game plays a lot like Diablo 2 but more bright and colorful. If I remember correctly, I believe it was made by the original D2 team who left Blizzard and formed their own studios. You can install mods on the Steam version via the workshop. Mods add gameplay, more classes, pets, monsters, dungeons, better textures, etc. Not sure how mods work with GOG though. Probably manual install.

Torchlight 1 actually plays really well on the Steam Deck even if there are no WASD controls or gamepad support. Someone made a community control config which basically uses the analog stick to 'follow' the mouse pointer. I'm not really sure how they did it (probably using a small mouse "region" in the middle of the screen) but it worked rather intuitively.
