Good price for secondary camera or short trips. Buy only if you really going to use it, this is not something you wanna stock up for the future, since new ones are release very often.

I got so frustrated with my 8 black the non removable lens condensating from the heat it put out I sold mine secondary market and never looked back

I use them on my bike, one in the front and one in the back. The back one I connect to my tablet so I can see the cars behind me.

It'll either say it's failed to connect and connect anyway, fail multiple times to connect, then I try restarting it and it still fails to connect, then requiring a battery hard pull. Then it'll finally connect to let me see the output.

Needless to say if I had the money to buy something else I would. Such utter trash.

I've never had the condensation problem though.

These work great on a bike with an external battery. Main flaw is that about a year later when they get the no power/no charge issue and are just randomly dead for no reason. Trying to RMA one now for that issue.

How does this compare to the Hero5 Session? That's what I use on a helmet mount as a motorcycle dash cam. It's pretty old now, but it still powers up and runs. Battery is not what it used to be, but if I need more than 45 min I just plug it into a battery brick.

Significantly bigger and with showy branding. The Session was as about as understated as possible. Apparently it's too much to ask for GoPro to just update it.
