It helped me know that the deal worked for others and may also be helpful for others wondering if it's worth having both services or not

My grocery deliveries were always wrong. I was always receiving only part of my order or someone elses order entirely. Is this a problem for others?

PSA: WM grocery purchases don't code as groceries for debit/credit card offers.

I've never experienced any issues with receiving the wrong items delivered from the store. However, it's important to note that such matters can vary depending on the employees at your specific location.

I find the gas savings +.10/gallon over the course of the year pays the membership cost (their station is the cheap one in the area anyways)
When I used Walmart Premium Grade Gas for my Acura MDX, I had an engine knocking problem and Acura dealer's mechanic advised me NOT to use Walmart Gas. After I used Costco, Quick Trip, BP, Kroger, or others, the knocking problem was gone.

Hopefully, there's an offer like this when mine expires in less than a month. It's not worth it to renew at full price.

Hm, I am thinking what if you buy at the full price to trigger the amex offer, then call Walmart and ask for the 50% discount with a screenshot that you had this promo but did not apply it somehow...Anyone with experience if Walmart will discount after the purchase?
this looks like a good idea.
but membership terms says no-refunds.
and in worst case, if they don't honor 50% off, i don't think, we can fully cancel the plan and get the full refund.
also, renewal automatically applying 50% off.

Renewal was coming up in 2 weeks. I didnt get the offer, but when I choose the cancel options I was then presented with the offer in small print to get the promotional pricing.

Worth it for the gasoline discounts.
0.10/gal isn't that much.
For your average 15-18 gallon tank, you're talking probably talking $1.40-1.50 saved per fill up. Unless you're driving like 400 miles/week you won't make up the discount for paying for WM+

Quick and easy. Membership was due to renew in a couple weeks so I hit "cancel". Next screen had the $49/yr special offer so I took it.

I moved to a big city this year, which offers the In-Home add-on option (tip-free service for $40 extra, with delivery by Walmart employees). Adding some notes in case it helps someone.

1. If your city offers that option, the extra $40 tip-free service saves a lot of money over time. We had regular W+ last year (without the In-Home add-on), and generally always tipped a flat $5 per delivery. I figured that since shopping is done by Walmart employees a flat tip is more suitable than % based. I made exceptions and tipped more when weather was bad, or expected too many bags. Point is - break even point for me is at about 8 deliveries a year. Half a year has passed, I would have already paid more in tips if I hadn't purchased the In-Home service add-on.

2. The one big caveat with the In-home service is that their delivery times are limited to regular day-time hours. They have only two slots 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. There are no evening slots. If you work standard work-week hours, this can be a problem since you are relegated to using the service only on weekends. However, weekend slots book early. You have to remember to book a slot a day in advance. If you expect to wake up in the morning, and order same-day delivery via the tip-free option that's not going to happen on a weekend. Of course, the tipped options still remain, but I use that option only for emergencies.

3. Hint — Our house is serviced by three different Walmarts. Two of them are regular Walmarts, and one of them is the 'Neighborhood Store' Walmart, which are smaller stores and mostly grocery focused. The app allows me to choose which Walmart to get the order delivered from. I realized that the big Walmarts used to always send near-expiry groceries and the worst produce; trying to get rid of stock. I even formally complained to Walmart when I had a couple of extreme cases. But then I switched to using the Neighborhood Market and it was a huge difference. Since those are grocery focused stores, they might be having more item rotation; or maybe this particular store is better managed. I never had a problem since I switched to that store. So, if you have more than one Walmart servicing your home, experiment to see which one usually delivers better produce.

It does add up though. I have Sam's Club, Costco and W+. Yet I usually prefer to fill at Walmart cause their gas is always the cheapest between the three, I'm aware Costco is supposed to have the best quality gas, but lines are long and W+ gas offers easy in and out like a regular gas station. I don't manage to use W+ for every fill-up but even then — between my car and my wife's, at a $1.5 saving per fill up, we'll probably save $50 worth, and make-up the membership fee just with gas savings. Of course, me and my wife both have to travel quite a bit one way for work so gas consumption is inordinately high for us. But even for most families that don't have to drive excessively distances, if they regularly have to fill two cars I can imagine them recouping a fair chunk of the fee, if not all.

Why do you need to say this here? Do you want others to validate your subscription to Prime and buying their overpriced grocery?

Just say you can't afford whole foods organic cashews. We get it

Walmart+ is also good for getting deals: Black Friday and Prime Days especially. The Walmart+ subs get early access and some of the best deals because you won't have to worry about them running out of stock. Prime Days in July for Amazon are only 2 days, and Walmart will have a week of sales during that time, and the same for Black Friday. The gas discount is simple with the app, so we use it, and they have the cheapest gas in our area. We even used the Paramount+ for the March Madness games. $98 is too much, but the $49 for the other benefits is worth it in my opinion.

No interest in having Walmart+ but this deal might be worth it for people interested in Paramount Plus (w/ limited commercials) which is a free addon.
