Anecdotal at best, I'd say.
There's also a lot of people who think you have to calibrate these by constantly running them down to zero. Not good at all for the battery chemistry.
This is my go to battery pack. I have multiple (thanks SD), and this is still my go to after 2 years. It charges blazingly fast (~100w) with a compatible charger (USB-PD).
It has a "low power mode" for devices that barely have a draw. It locks the output to a few watts. The only indication is a dot in the corner. I thought my pack was going bad, but found it in the instructions. If I remember correctly, you just hold the button down and it disables/enables the mode.
