And yes, they usually have you fight it out with the franchise. Corporate does not want that kind of publicity. Even under Gavin Newsom and the minimum wage, they basically wanted him to state that the corporation would not be held liable and it would be a penalty on the franchises if they did not raise wages. Pretty cool how corporations can get out of things.

I don't get it! If the app/website accepted the coupon code, then that particular franchise accepts coupons! Period, end of story! If they canceled the order, then they're breaking the rules! You/everyone that has this same type of experience needs to contact customer service (or the corporate office, which is even better) and complain about locations that are pulling this crap!
However....fair warning to everyone reading this!....DON'T place an order WITHOUT a coupon code and then expect them to apply the discount at the location! They won't! AND....if they're not accepting coupon codes online, then they're not accepting paper coupons either! If the location that you've chosen accepts the coupon code online, then they CAN'T cancel your order!
If they do, then it MUST be reported!
If the app/website accepted the code online and they canceled the order afterward, that's 100% against the rules!....so, in that situation, you are wrong.
