Quick look around shows this is $70 everywhere else. Cuisinart isn't top quality, but decent. Thumbs up

This one is same as: Cuisinart 15-Piece Knife Set with Block, High Carbon Stainless Steel, Forged Triple Rivet, White, C77WTR-15P. It marked as $69.95. Hope this helps.

The fact that it's promoted by SD.

Honestly those white plastic handles look cheap AF.

I have this set of knives in black, marked as Farberware. My local ShopRite sold them last year at around $12 (Yes, for the set) They're surprisingly good knives, though the steak knives sux, serrated blades. If you look around the $239 Cephalon knife set looks remarkably similar to this $39.95 set, and my Farberware.
You can find the Farberware on Kohl's as "edge keeper", currently $89.95

Macy's always puts a higher price to make it look like the item is worth more than it actually is.

Have this set. The plastic handles fall apart with dishwasher use. Blades don't have particularly good edge retention, but sharpen easy. Wooden block is good.

You should hand wash knives. The dishwasher will dull them... and I guess in this case make the plastic handle fall apart.

The fact that SD does not care about quality of item or the fact that it is not a deal, just commissions from click throughs and purchases

Williams Sonoma [williams-sonoma.com] and Amazon [amazon.com] (directly Sold & Shipped via Amazon) both have it priced at $69.95. Looking at Keepa on Amazon, it shows the lowest it has been was $50.92 back in 2023. Since Macy's has it for $20 lower compared to the two retailers above and Keepa showing that the lowest ever price on Amazon was $50.92, I thought it was worthy to be shared to Slickdeals.

The reason it got downvote bombed was it showing up as Front Page with only 7 upvotes and no comments.

To the average person, that is suspect at best…understand that this site needs to make money to exist, but the optics aren't good. Credibility is at risk.

That said, it is a good deal. Probably FP worthy.

Years ago, seemed like it took a 15 upvote score to hit FP. Should honestly get back to that.
