Agreed! Zwilling "2Men" made in Germany not just German steel. That's the quality you're actually looking for. Henckels is the international branding (1Man) made in China, not the best "I thought" quality for what you're paying.

These were only 99.99 in store but they raised the price by 10 dollars (109.99 in store now). The henckel pan set were about 185 and they raised that by like 60.

I don't recommend knife sets. I had one when I started off (I think it was an Emeril Lagasse set?), but half of them I didn't use, and the other half I eventually upgraded to better knives.

I did like the knife block itself, though, so I eventually just bought my own magnetic block to store my knives:

Check your local warehouse in-store price. I got this last week in-store at $89.99 ($20 instant discount), happy with it for the price.

If there is 1 man logo, then it's gonna be China crap. What you want is 2 man logo, then it's coming from the Germans. Wusthof red logo also has decent German knives. But if your just starting out in the kitchen, then go Target & get Chicago cutlery or Victorinox & call it a day.
