You're wrong. These are made in the American headlamp factory in California that opened up in 2025. Next to the rubber door stop factory. Which is next to the tactical knife factory.

FYI these are just having the USB-C plugs, but not supporting USB-C PD. You'd have to use a USB-A to USB-C cable (included) for fixed 5V charging. A pure USB-C cable wouldn't work.

This isn't true at all... They cannot charge ABOVE 5v, but you can absolutely use a USB-C to USB-C cable. It's the AC Adapter/power brick that determines the output wattage, and then a cable that can support it.

Bought these a few years back. They worked great the first year but now won't hold run for more than 5 minutes on a full charge.

Actually, there is more to it that this. The device to be charged needs a couple resistors on the CCx pins of the USB connector to indicate it is a power sink (something to be charged). Without those, the charger will not source any power, to prevent two chargers fighting each other if connected. I have a lantern that has this problem, as its USB C port only connects the 5V and ground pins. It will not charge with a USB C to USB C cable.
