Was trying to be slick with buying the black truffle shack stack for $12.99 (in my area), but nope. Discount is only good up to $9.99 and they want you to minimum $10.40!

As compared to what other brand? Shake Shack is supposed to have grass fed, organic, no antibiotics, etc. The only other franchises that supposedly come close are Five Guys and IN N Out.

what does "grass fed" and "organic" have to do with meat quality other than some inference or assumption?

It has EVERYTHING to do with meat quality. What is your definition of meat quality? Are we sure that Gordon Ramsey is here on these forums to tell us what is good meat quality? Sounds subjective...
"..other than some inference or assumption?"

Ex: Give examples of places with good "meat quality" oh wise one. Still waiting...

Thats why during promotions I eat burgers only in Shake Shack and all other time in 5 guys. Dont have IN OUT to check.

IN N Out likes to tout that their food is already within price range for the cost of living and they are sort of right. I could eat cheaper at IN N Out than I could at McDonald's in CA. Of course, I am not stating like getting the base hamburger at McDonald's and comparing it (I would think that would be much cheaper with a shake and fries). It would have to be by weight or calorie comparison of the food options from McDonald's vs. IN N Out.
I remember I was able to eat at IN N Out, when I originally tried it, for like less than $10 for a shake, fries, and a hamburger (just a plain hamburger). I wanted to see what the hype was, but to me it was just a regular hamburger. I could tell the meat quality was way better, but it was bland.

One trick I like to do at In-N-Out is to ask for animal style fries without the cheese, you'll be charged the same as having regular fries. I know its not the same but works for me lol.

Yeah if you add 2 items to fries like grilled onions and spread it's free.. when you add a 3rd item, it triggers the upcharge of animal style fries. Also if you ask for cheese itself, it triggers the upcharge, because they have to put it in the steamer.

So you can add 2 of whatever ingredients you want to the fries it's included in the price of the fries, so I add grilled onions and grilled whole onions and ask for spread on the side when i pick it up
