Nope. Not that way... :-)

For my homelab, I'd like the *highest* power in a way, for the applications. That's why I said no price constraint.

Basically, small, mighty when needed, sipping power waiting for the demand. minimal inertial mass or inertia.

I have an induction cooking range in my house. Replaced a gas rage that was there. If you know it's characteristics, it's a perfect example of this. Can stay at extreme low warm/cold to touch. Put it on speed-boost, it hits 3.5Kw with zero heat loss in an instant. or like an EV in demon mode etc.. :-)

Thanks if you can try again!

OK. Speaking clearly of a spec is the best way to get one's needs met, while helping people afraid to ask, or might arrive with a search long long later.

how do I know? Been there, done that.

Sometimes there might not be competent helpers. That's fine. No time wasted from either side.

Your detailed "specs" were literally an n100 running "Prozmox" and a Win10 (running Blue iris), Home assistant and couple small VMs, Power efficiency on idle is important, no price limit. No details on the vms. No details on ram consumption, storage, etc. You didn't say your N100 setup had any issues, nor what outcomes you were looking for other than power efficiency.

Even a novice IT person knows this isn't enough detail to provide any meaningful or thoughtful recommendations. This could be a $200 setup or $2000 setup.

Thanks but try again!

Never used one of these mini PC's before, are there any issues to look out for or are they pretty solid?

Think I saw some overheating issues for other models in another thread.

There have been some with cooling issues. Others have build quality issues (random reboots, audio doesn't work, etc.) One brand had malware in the recovery partition but a wipe reload resolved. Most of the issues I've seen can be discovered in the first few weeks. That's why I recommend buying from Amazon vs direct from the vendor. Amazon has easy returns and you can stress test it and put it through it's paces and test everything within the first 30d.

Some of the direct vendor buys require you to jump through hoops for returns or even pay return shipping, and sometimes that shipping is international.

That's not to say issues can't crop up after but most of the reviews I've read that had negative feedback are generally discovered after the initial setup or during setup. Amazon usually also lets you tack on the asurion extended warranties.

Read reviews on them starting to ignore you when you need warranty repair. Also warranty repair has to be shipped to china. No USA address
