i7 and i9 have them. This is on a dead platform though. For dead platform, nothing beats 5700x and 5700x3d.

Nothing beats those. Sure. Except for the fact a 14600k around $200 absolutely crushes the price/performance of 5700x or 5700x3d, that is.

wtf, is this even worth arguing. the MC 9700x bundle is $450. it is on a living platform. You are going to spend $100-$150($100 for a 6 motherboard that you might run into bios update issues) on motherboard and $100 on ram too for your 14600k. MC 12900k bundle is $430, you can't even beat this for price/performance.
a 5700x route will be half your price for 80% your performance. 5700x3d route will be a lot cheaper and more fps.

Except 9700x these things are not very new and you can buy most of them on ebay. 5700x and 5700x3d from aliexpress before tariffs on small packages.

Move goalposts much? Your comment said nothing about 9700x or newer sockets. You're citing MicroCenters deals that are not relevant or even accessible for most people. That's simply disingenuous. I could come back at you with "Micro Center has 14600k for $190 with two free games, it beats X or Y deal" and it would just as meaningless of a rebuttal as yours.

You said 5700x and 5700x3d are better dead platforms than a 14600k, and that's objectively not true.

come on, I mentioned 50% price for 80% performance in the last reply. I was more on 9700x because that is a living platform at same cost with comparable or better performance, making buying 14600k an obviously worse option. You can definitely get 7700x for the MC 9700x cost from online sellers, the value stays there.
I can't see a bagain in it except for those opted for no BS 12400 upgrading to a 20% better cpu.

Intel has easier access to thunderbolt, iGPU / Quicksync and more (worse) cores for productivity
I think the AM5 board options are so limiting, AM4 was better, and probably still is
I don't think dead platform argument even matters unless you purposely buy something low end to begin with and are intending to upgrade later
