My old Thinkpad has 8th gen i5. But I got 32gb ram in it so i can have so much more running at once and not run out of ram. It's terrible that computer manufacturers are doing this pretty much purposely so computers are basically disposable.
Apple gets away with it now everyone wants to do it.
Same thing with the phones. Apple decides to not include micro SD slot now nobody does it.
Consumers need to stop buying garbage and start making demands. When they see their sales plummet with the same complaints then they will change.
Apple is the enemy. They set the precedent.
And I don't want to hear about how it's faster ram. That's a bunch of BS. The speed difference is negligible.
Now they are even doing this Bs to gaming laptops too!
A great laptop was on sale for 800 at microcenter and I was about to buy it. Then I noticed the lpddr5x bs. Sick of it!
