Some toothpaste contain gelatin, a derived from animals (pigs since it's the cheapest source of gelatin).

Sorry, not sure. I don't use Crest Whitening toothpaste. Have you compared ingredients?

I would talk to your dentist, but whitening toothpastes have silica which is an abrasive to remove stains. Unfortunately, it also abrades your enamel, which is bad.

Just curious, what is the ingredient that goes against Muslims' beliefs?

I share this info often because it was a lifesaver for me... If you are someone that tends to get mouth ulcers (canker sores) a lot, look for toothpaste that doesn't have sodium laurel sulfate in it.

careful with this stuff if you've never used it beforemany people experience it burning their mouth for some reason
Not sure why this comment was thumbed down. My dentist's assistant friend gave me a couple travel tubes of this a last year. After brushing with it for a few days, I definitely noticed pain on and around my lips. My lips had become chapped and the corners of my mouth were cracked and very painful. Switched back to my regular toothpaste and my mouth eventually healed up. When my regular tube ran out, I tried out the second travel tube. A few days in, the exact same thing happened. So while this issue doesn't happen with everyone, it definitely happens to me. It turns out my sister also had a similar reaction so this is a legit concern for those trying it out for the first time. I'd strongly recommend trying a travel size first to make sure you aren't one of us. My mouth did feel clean after using it the first day so I'd imagine it's good for those who don't burn. But it was painful enough that I definitely cannot use this again. Good luck with the toothpaste lottery all!

I've been using this for at least a year, does a good job of removing stains on my teeth, doesn't burn my mouth, and oddly enough seems to help with sensitivity. Would definitely recommend, the taste does take some getting used to…
