If you're looking for a pre built rig maybe not so bad but I just built basically the same machine for 350 less using the microcenter bundle if you're up to it.

Performance Comparison
  • 1080p Gaming: The Arc B580 generally outperforms the RTX 4060 in 1080p gaming scenarios. For instance, in Cyberpunk 2077, the B580 achieves 91 FPS compared to the RTX 4060's 72 FPS. Similarly, in Dying Light 2, the B580 reaches 133 FPS, while the 4060 hits 81 FPS. TechRadar

  • Ray Tracing: While NVIDIA is renowned for its ray tracing capabilities, the B580 holds its own. In Resident Evil 4 at 1440p with ray tracing enabled, the B580 runs at 75 FPS, outperforming the RTX 4060 by 6%. GamersNexus

It will work just fine. I have an older rig from 20217 running my Plex server. Zero issues, with between 3-7 multiple users streaming

There's a thread on it that's got a lot of useful information. Came bundled with a couple of games but I'm not sure if they're still running that promotion.

Not worth at all the arc card costs 250 msrp, it's a good card for the price , a barebones mobo , ram, cpu combo is 300 , 2 tb sata ssd 200. It's not there for the value under 1000 bux maybe but not for this

Yes this is TECHNICALLY true BUT BUT BUT Intel drivers are SOOOO BEHIND. Look at 1% lows and .1% low. They stutter a lot and varies a lot from games to games. Know what you are getting yourself into. Maybe in future with driver updates it will be better across the board but rn if you play competitive game or just want a smoother experience I cannot recommend the card.

If you are getting a pc for production first (Photoshop, After Effects, video editing, etc), and gaming second, then this is an ok unit.
But if gaming is first- I would definitely go for an AMD pre-built.
As other have noted, the intel b580 is a good budget card, especially with that 12GB VRAM, but it is just that, a budget card- that could use better drivers.

How'd you skin that, even with the MC bundle? I am doing a similar (and first) PC build around an arc b580, but with a lower end i7 12700k. Just about finished with all my component purchases (at good SD prices) and looking at $950 all in.

I've been building up to making a machine for awhile, and picked up a few solid deals. Got a 2TB nvme drive for 100, picked up a Bequiet Pure DX500 case for $60 and a power supply to match (although black) for another $100. Thermalspirit Phantom 120 SE cooler for $40. Managed to grab a Sparkle B580 for $270. Made a minor upgrade on the RAM for another ten bucks and the build comes in at around a grand.

Although I primarily built it for video editing/encoding and AI workloads, I've spent a little bit playing some games on it as well and it holds up very well. I had bounced back and forth considering the AMD Ryzen 3D line of chips but didn't think the tradeoff was worth it for my use.

Very similar to my needs & build. Primarily to run Adobe suite, but with gaming a close second.
Was initially going to get a Mac Mini M4, but tired of Apple's ridiculous memory "tax". Plus I wanted to finally play the free/cheap PC games accumulated thru Amazon Prime Gaming. Humble Bundles, etc. Work switching to Windows was the nail in the coffin in my decision to go PC.
Initial plan was to get a refurb HP Victus or Omen off ebay, upgrade ram & GPU and call it a day.
But moved to building my own- have been getting parts as deals have pop up on SD, or found in clearance isles. Have everything collected sans RAM:

CPU: Intel core i7 12700k $150
MOBO: MSI Z790 Pro $120
RAM: 32GB DDR5 $85*
PSU: 850W Gold Plus ATX 3.1 $70
GPU: Intel Arc B580: $250
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB $125
Cooler: Peerless Assassin 120 $40
Case: MSI 111R $60
OS: Windows 11 Key $10
TOTAL: $910

Debated between Intel and AMD, and building on a "dead" socket platform- but really 12700k was the best price performance CPU found, and I plan on this lasting me until the AI take over.

Back to this deal. There is very little in the prebuilt world with Intel Core Ultra 7 at this price range. Most pair a tier up NVIDIA RTX 5070/5080 or AMD Radeon RX 9070, but at $500-$1000 more.
So if you are set on Intel and pre-built, and only looking at 1080/1440p gaming, this is not a bad deal- $100 cheaper than Best Buy and B&H for same PC.
The biggest benefit would be buying from Costco with 90 whole days to buy and try, which should not be overlooked. Gives you plenty of time to see if it fits your needs- or if a better deal comes along in three months. Most vendors return policy is 15 days, 30 at most.
