I highly recommend people get an electric automatic smart one which typically costs less than two hundred bucks, but save your scooping effort for the entire life.
Got a link for a good one under $200? The cheaper the better

Bought this same litter box for $8.48 from Chewy last week. Many of the reviews said there were spots in the box that were hard to clean. Also the upper lid isn't very secure and can get knocked off by your cats which I agree with. But for the price it's been good and the high walls seem to help

I don't have any comment on the deal posted but wanted to add some flavor to the alternatives discussion.

We've used Omega Paw rolling litter boxes for years and swear by them. I honestly couldn't fathom not using one at this point.

The elites (linked above) were $36 when we purchased them in 2020 and much more expensive now, though the non-elite version should be just fine if you have a mat underneath to catch any loose litter as they exit.

WTF happened to the price on these? I got this for $25 a few years ago. no way this rolling piece of plastic is worth $75

This has been the best litter box for me, for under $10. Cut a hole in the top and you're done. no pace for the liter to splash out, no hidden grooves for litter and pee to get caught in. Scoop it daily, replace with fresh litter every 1-2 weeks. You'll never go back

Agreed. Supply/demand or greed. Either way, I wouldn't buy it at its current price. The non-elite version is priced much closer to normal, though it is still up from where it was 5 years ago. I can vouch for the functionality of this unit, but the intrinsic value is the burden of the buyer.

The best litter box I've used is the "Sterilite Large Storage Bin, 90 Quart Clear Plastic Storage Container". It's about 13 inches tall, so it's not good for kittens. It's not possible for my cat to scratch litter out of the box. Some will stick to his feet, but this will happen with any litter box. When it's time to add new litter, I can just dump a full 40lb container in at once.

If you are using a plastic scooper, then get yourself a "DuraScoop, DurAnimals Cat Litter Scoop, Metal"

That's a pretty neat litter box. I've had cats all my life, and we have always just used clumping litter and scooped them like "normal." This is definitely something to think about!

I like this idea for adult cats
