Got a merchant offer on both my and my partner's Citi cards (AA MileUp and Double Cash, respectively) for $50 back on $65 spent on "the purchase of a new AT&T wireless plan." Figured it would only trigger on cell plans, but it worked (at least once so far, on my MileUp) on fiber internet, and on an old plan at that! If you've already paid your bill, you can just put an additional $65 into your balance to trigger the offer.
YMMV, of course, but offers the possibility for a good amount of free money

I paid $65 to my AT&T Fiber bill and this did not work. I made sure to add the offer beforehand as well. I was watching the transaction as it went from a Pending charge, to being posted, and nothing.
did you pay it without signing in or after signing into your att account?

I had to sign into the AT&T account and add my Citi card as a payment method.
So yes, I signed in. I don't typically use a CC, since AT&T has removed some of the discounts for such payment methods, and funneling them towards direct bank withdrawals.

maybe thats the issue....usually when i have signed in and made a payment, the offers dont trigger but if you pay without signing in then it triggers the offer. This has worked a number of times with chase offers but i just got the citicard and tried doing the same, will report back if the offer got triggered.
I paid my U-Verse Internet bill while logged in, and I noticed the offer triggered. It shows redeemed, but hasn't credited to my bill yet.
Did the same one Uverse and one ATT cell bill……Been going on a week+ a few days and mine have not credited but does show under "redeemed" $50 x2 on two different Citi Custom Cash cards
