I've only played this once, and thought it was just alright (didn't quite live up to the 7.2 BGG rating for me).
Basically resource management and identifying the best place to build on the board, which could lead some to analysis paralysis.

It's definitely worth $11 though.

Lego Monkey Palace Board Game. I haven't played it yet, but it's the cheapest I've seen it.

I bought I months ago because my 9-yo just *had* to have it. I was happy to oblige in something to get them into board games. Played a few times with him and my other son, and with friends. It's fun, slightly competitive, gets them thinking about future moves, maximizing VPs, and repayable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy at this price.

Amazon reviews make it sound a little too complicated for little kids.
