When LED bulbs used to be $15-20 a piece, they lasted much longer. Target and Sylvania branded LED bulbs I bought in recent years are lucky if they last over a year or so.

I have some CREE bulbs that I use for hours every day from 2014 that are still going strong.

They seem to fail very often. All brands of LED these days. The electronics boards must be super low quality. I have some CREE led bulbs from 2018 still going strong. The ones sourced at Lowe's and Home Depot seem to fail within 6-12 months.

Make sure you carefully read the box and labels: many LED bulbs do not last long in enclosed light fixtures unless the explicitly say they are designed for those hot environments.
If they don't explicitly say they do (like these GE bulbs), then best to assume they don't.
