These DO stop cutting as soon as you let go. We just used them all this weekend and the only thing bad I have to say is it resulted in more work for me hauling away all the stuff my wife was able to prune with these... Lol
Pruner of choice for cartels removing fingers. The only tool that really scares me.
After a chainsaw this tool is the second most dangerous, only a matter of time. It makes a full chop when you pull the trigger where as the Milwaukee will stop when you let go and has different modes....only a matter of time before you have nine.

I was under the impression this is normal price when I purchased them yesterday. Good timing, I suppose. They are great. I was using an 8Ah battery with them yesterday, cut for over four hours and they never showed a sign of slowing down.

Just used mine for the first time yesterday. Trimming up suckers and overgrown branches on my crepe myrtle trees. These are unnecessary yes, but in some circumstances, convenience trumps necessity and this is definitely one of those circumstances! Love it!

Wonderful tool, I bought it last year before they raised the price to $129.
I cut thousands of volunteer trees and bushes and it never faltered.

Be careful with these they will cut fingers, but they are awesome, most branches cuts no hesitation. Bigger branches it may take a couple bites but this makes quick work of cutting branches for yard waste or just trimming again it was the best yard tool i have bought.

I've been eyeballing these for a week or so at $90. I know they are not needed but I have a huge yard clean up at my dads place with lots of vines and a couple big trees and these seem like they will save my carpel tunnel a fair amount. I'm nearly sold!

This price has been around a long time. I ended up with the Milwaukee ones because I had M12 batteries and starting in a new platform was too expensive. I think the M12 is different in that it has two settings for how wide the jaws open and you can turn them off with the blades fully closed. I think get whatever platform you have batteries for because both are very capable.

Love this tool.. Neighbors borrow it all the time too. Just make sure you take the battery out immediately when not in use so curious kids don't chop their fingers off...

This is one of the MUST HAVE tools for anyone who has a decent size of garden with trees..... it also allowed me to cut the branches into managable sizes where I can put "significant" amount of debris into the yard debris containers (with ease).... get it and you won't regret... is it dangereous? yes... pay attention and you will be fine....

I love this tool, brought it last year and have already used it enough to justify the cost.

I'll also admit, these scare the heck outta me while using and I ALWAYS remove the battery when not in use, even if only for a few moments, as I dont want to see my kids somehow chop something off with my back turned.
