Depends on how early of a model VCR you have. Some were quite large and heavy, but I would think any modern VCR is rather compact compared to the early versions. I know the last one I bought for Blockbuster videos was about 12-15" long and really lightweight. I would think even if it's a little oversized it could be secured with some simple bungee straps or duct tape on the bottom.

just gotta be careful wheeling it around. It gets topheavy. Something catches on the wheel, and you're not careful - it could tip.
