You can just add onion rings or other charges for extras on the burger until you get to $1 too.
Always an excuse to get their fire chocolate chip cookies, $1 where I am at for two.

Wish I can take advantage of this offer. They don't even have this item on the menu here in SoCal...
That is interesting.

Can you just buy a $1 gift card? That way, free burgers each time and money left after promo. Have not eaten Burger King in years. I grew up on 99 cent whoppers w xtra lettuce before going to the dollar move with my Mom when I was a kid, though. Good times.

What if you had just opted for two singles? If it was already over the $10.40 with one single...
Then it's BOGO. Looks like the price went up. Oh it didnt go up. It's just more expensive at valley fair.

What was the minimum wage when a Whopper was $0.99?

BK was notorious for tiny pieces of bone in every hamburger back in the day. I remember that very well.
I'm remembering a LONG time ago, like maybe early 80s, before a certain fake Cowboy dialed back regulations for fast food industry. I remember Mad Magazine doing an article on the regulations, pointing out that more rat droppings per food was now allowed under the new "regulations". I guess us peons don't deserve quality food if it comes at the cost of the billionaire class....

Sadly, the Burger Kings I went to the last year have been awful in Texas. Nothing like they used to be years ago.
I was just going to comment the same. I have two near me by Austin and both are awful. Cold nasty tasting food. Nothing like Burger King used to be back in the day. Deleted the app even with the free Whopper Walmart+ promo.

Have you tried buying sandwiches separately? Go for the lowest priced hamburger. Basically everyone eats $1.99 hamburgers, small fries, etc. "Sorry wife, you are living the truth (not some outlandish Kardashian lifestyle). If I am making $30/hr. at my job, this meal has got to be less than 40% of one hour's wage if we are to retire." If you are an economical middle class family, you cannot be burning double digits on fast food. Everyone drinks water as well.
2 bites isn't a "meal."

Rather have a Whopper Jr than their cheeseburger.
You do realize the only difference between a Whopper Jr and a cheeseburger is lettuce, tomato and onion. Both burgers use the same bun and same patty.

And what happens to the price when you add those items to the cheeseburger? There's a reason I said what I said.

If one cannot afford it, it SHOULD BE one's only meal. Eating more is a luxury that only the ones who work hard or make more should enjoy. If one likes to eat food, then that should be motivation to find ways to make more.

Actually, the individual is mistaken. The cheeseburger has cheese, pickle, mustard, and ketchup. The Whopper Jr. has tomato, onion, pickle, lettuce, ketchup, and mayo. The only toppings that Burger King charges for are cheese, lettuce, and tomato.
Cheeseburger in my area is $2.39 and a Whopper Jr. is $2.89.
Topping prices: $0.30 for cheese, lettuce is $0.10 and tomato is $0.10.

Be careful how one words this.

Fact: The cheeseburger has cheese, pickle, mustard, and ketchup as toppings and condiments. The Whopper Jr. has tomato, onion, pickle, lettuce, ketchup, and mayo as toppings and condiments. Therefore, the difference between both sandwiches for toppings and condiments is that both do not have cheese, ketchup, lettuce, mayo, mustard, onion, and tomato.

What you meant to write was that the only toppings that Burger King charges for as the base add on are cheese, lettuce, and tomato (they do charge for select others, but only if one adds on extra).

Cheeseburger in my area is $2.39 and a Whopper Jr. is $2.89.

Topping prices: $0.30 for cheese, lettuce is $0.10 and tomato is $0.10; therefore, the Whopper Jr. should actually be less expensive because the cheese actually costs the most in all the condiments. Whomever is getting a Whopper Jr. in my area over a hamburger and loading up on toppings is being ripped off because a hamburger in my area is $2.09. With the charged toppings, it would bring the price to $2.59 with charged toppings to make the hamburger like the Whopper Jr. To make the hamburger like the cheeseburger, $2.39 is correct as they just add and charge for the cheese.
