My concern would be because it's edge lit. Blacks glow when cranking up the brightness. but we people report good blacks

It does have a mediocre 10 vertical zone local dimming feature FWIW. It does improve black levels some but it seems like a wasted opportunity to make a better product by doing FALD.

I think this is an overall good product, but don't see it as an upgrade whatsoever to the G70B. I tend to say the panels were better in that model.

Why'd you change models then? Is this better or no in your experience?

Equivalent, I'd say.

I changed models because I didn't have a crystal ball to tell me that I wouldn't feel the new model was an upgrade.

Does it support VESA mounting? There's a quick spec saying 100x100 but I don't see how with the way that stand is attached.

The black circular part inside the RGB circle probably comes out and mounting holes are inside there.

I agree, I got the Neo G7 about a month ago and love the local dimming but still getting use to the damn curve. It's also a VA panel so the blacks are amazing. I was using a 27" 1440P Corsair Oled and the Neo G7 is a good upgrade (4K and Mini LED). Also the Neo was about the same price as this one, after a certain cash back site paid off. (20%)

How did the Neo compare vs the oled for productivity tasks?

Thanks

I know you weren't asking me but the curved neo g7 and g8 get fantastic productivity scores on rtings.com, if you can deal with the curve. I personally don't mind the curve.

just a reminder, it doesn't have headphone jack. if you are using this monitor for multiple platforms, you will be stuck with its internal speakers
