I wish they showed a photograph of one of the actual sockets to see how the writing is on them. Mine are the old school one without the laser etching and I just wanted to make sure that the new ones have the laser etching so you can easily see the type.

Look at the customer review images, they are engraved. So, it is silver on silver, but isn't just painted. You can also just marker in the engraving and wipe off the surface for better contrast
Was going to buy this as a present for my kid, but have a bit till his birthday, so will keep an eye out for similar
