If you absolutely don't care about call quality in a noisy setting, then QC Ultra will offer you pretty good deep ear cups compared to XM5 (shallow) and fairly comparable audio quality and noise cancellation for low frequency hum and some mid-frequency "noise".
Noise cancellation headphones will not cancel out high-pitched noises. Please educate yourselves before you spend your money.
