It is available at Amazon through one of their resellers for $386 and free shipping. I wouldn't really call this deal dead, but when I bought mine, one of them I bought as open box at Best buy. It was actually a new sealed one for a little over $320 and the other one was about the same price and I bought it from Walmart.

These are very good players only being superseded by the 9000. And I can't really bring myself to spend almost $1,000 for a player that weighs slightly more because it's got more metal in it and that's about it.
